The Tower Of Century!

   

 Can you see the things which are 60 miles away from you? Generally , it is quite impossible for clear vision. But today, I will tell you about the tower from where you can get a clear vision of the things which are far away from you. Guess what?

Yes, it is Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower on the earth!

Lets take a look about the interesting things about the gigantic tower.

1.     If you want to keep together the glass and steel used to build the tower, you do need a big stadium! Even it is possible to make a 1283 miles long wall by using the khoa-sand-cement which were used to build the tower.

2.     It is 160 storeyed building. The height of the tower is 2717 feet. 12000 people can stay together here at a time. There are 54 elevators to carry people one floor to another and they run at a velocity of 60 miles per hour.

3.     It took approximately 1.5 billion dollars to build up the tower.

4.     There is a decorous squirt of water in the lawn of the tower. About 133 million British pound was used to make the squirt. Absolutely, it is very huge!

     

c    The construction of the building was not so easy. There was scorching hit of the sun, for which concrete could not be corroborated in daylight. For this reason. The process of ceiling molding was done at night. Sometimes ice was aslo used by mixing it with concrete.

Now, we will go to see the inner view of the tower.

1.     If you want to go the top of the tower or above the 160^th floor, you must keep a cylinder of oxygen.

2.     Want to see the view of sunrise faster than others? Then go to the Burj Khalifa. The people inside the tower can view the sun much more time than others. The duration of daylight is more for the people who are in the tower than the people in the land.

3.     You will be surprised to know the weight of the tower. It is about 5 lakh ton!!!

4.     Americans are specially considered to live in Burj Khalifa. In the tower, 9^th floor to 16^th floor are specially allotted for the them! How happy they are!!

  

5.    Now come to a bad record. It is the highest tower for committing suicide. On may 10,2011,  a man committed suicide here by jumping from the tower. He died at the 38^th floor. How sad!!

6.     About 380 engineers and technicians were involved to make this big project! The name of the cheif architect and the chief structural engineer are Adrian Smith and Bill Baker respectively.  It took 5 years to complete the project (2004-2009). The workers were mainly from south and east Asia.

The unique design and engineering challenges of building Burj Khalifa have made it prominent building of the century. It is a great work, which shows that, man can build, can conquer everything. The tower has changed the landscape of what is possible in architecture a building that became internationally recognized as an icon long before it was even completed.

So, it can be undoubtedly said, Burj Khalifa is the tower of century, the tower of dream!
